Singapore transit

Arriving at 5.26am to an overcast day with a steamy, but not unpleasant 26deg, we walked & walked until we located the Ambassador Transit Hotel....our room is pleasant, the shower just bliss, so on with the day...first up we did a lot more walking to get our Changi airport dollars  and to find the kiosk to book our free Singapore Heritage Tour for 11.30am....it was then back to our room for a much needed cuppa, and after checking out eateries & duty free shopping for on our way home... Onto the Tour, and it was really good and very informative but only for two hours and only one brief stop, but interesting all the same...if you are in transit and have the time we can recommend you do this tour, however, always a catch, if you want to do the night tour then you cannot come back into the airport as they only allow you one time out/in ....we opted for the 11.30 one and as I write this we are having a much needed rest, the plane was cold,( even Lyn commented on it)! We have visited the butterfly display, orchid display and used the sky train (no driver all automated) from terminal 3 to 2 and return...we check out from here at 6.30pm and  will head to the free movie, until about 9.30pm when the long walk back to the gate again..the photo is not that great but that swan is all done in Swarovski crystal and hangs from the ceiling..it is truely magnificent .
