Day 6 San Gimignano - Florence

Starting a little later this morning we had a very short drive from the hotel to the town of San Gimignano, where we had some free time..what a lovely place it is many alleys, there are many towers and they were saying that everyone thinks skyscrapers are a new thing but these were built many centuries ago, so once again there is really nothing new, is there...we still wonder how every brick, every stone every piece of marble was hand made...everyone here like in Sorrento grow their own food, etc, makes us feel very lazy, shall I put in a vegetable garden???? maybe not!!  Once again we had to have a gelato they are so refreshing, €2.50 for two scoops, and a piece of pizza cost €2.50,,the size well I would say it was a good half of a pizza from home...very windy today as we headed north. Out for dinner tonight at a local restaurant, then we will all walk back to Hotel..
